The File Layout Information was developed from the actual Assessor database files. The information consists of a description of the indexes defined within the Assessor's Office Local Area Network and a description of the PHYSICAL qualities of each FIELD within the database. (This is NOT a description or explanation of the actual data stored WITHIN the fields.) These descriptions are provided in order to assist you in developing your own relational information system based upon Pima County Assessor data.

Public Records Requests

The download files have been created for public use. Please fill out a public records request for any desired information not found in the downloads or on the parcel detail pages themselves. Per Administrative Procedure 4-4 , the Clerk of the Board processes all public information requests.

The web form can be submitted from the Pima County Public Records Request page. If you prefer to submit a paper form, contact the Clerk of the Board at (520) 724-8449.

A Note about Legislative Classes and these files:

Pursuant to through the Legislative Class numbers were changed. All files for download for {{RPSelectedTaxYear}} now contain the new class numbers. Thus, no conversion will be necessary.

Users of this data should be aware that the numbering scheme for Legislative Classes was changed in 2001 pursuant to through . However, the Assessor has elected to maintain the previous numbering in the class indicators for these files. A conversion table is applied to translate this data into the new numbering when Notices of Value or other formal documents are issued. Members of the public who wish to utilize these files to support the preparation of Petitions for Review or other remedies should complete a similar conversion before appeals are filed. A link to the Legislative Class Conversion Table is supplied to help you.

Unitary Market Value for Notice and Supplemental Files:

For most residential properties, we no longer separate land and improvement values in the data. Rather a total value (currentfcv) contains the sum of the land and improvement values. The value is a unitary market value. UMV is considered as one subject and not to be broken into separate components of land and improvements.
